Don't know much about it, but from the first look my thoughts would be to ge t an iPad and Foreflight and you can do all that and more (weather, flight p lanning, AOPA directory, along with all the other apps, Internet, email, etc ).... For the same price.... -Mike Sent from my iPhone On Aug 25, 2010, at 9:48 PM, "cheathco" <cheathco@cox.net> wrote: > I am considering getting one of these and was wondering if anyone on the l ist has one?? I've got the unit that takes a GPS serial input and transmits your last coordinates as well. Pretty cool feature. Lots of dialog on the various pages about setting it up, etc. http://www.mattsrv8.com/users/display_log.php?user=MattsRV8&project=638&category=2971&log=77846&row=50 http://www.mattsrv8.com/users/display_log.php?user=MattsRV8&project=638&category=2971&log=77847&row=49 http://www.mattsrv8.com/users/display_log.php?user=MattsRV8&project=638&category=2971&log=77848&row=48 http://www.mattsrv8.com/users/display_log.php?user=MattsRV8&project=638&category=2971&log=77849&row=47 http://www.mattsrv8.com/users/display_log.php?user=MattsRV8&project=638&category=2971&log=77850&row=46 - Matt Dralle RV-8 #82880 N998RV http://www.mattsrv8.com - Matt's RV-8 Construction Log http://www.youtube.com/MattsRV8 - Matt's RV-8 HDTV YouTube Channel Status: 90+ Hours TTSN - Enjoying Every Minute...

Probably can't get service airborne, though, right? So no in-cockpit wx to speak of. -Bill On Wed, Aug 25, 2010 at 11:01 PM, Michael Kraus <n223rv@wolflakeairport.net>wrote: > Don't know much about it, but from the first look my thoughts would be to > get an iPad and Foreflight and you can do all that and more (weather, flight > planning, AOPA directory, along with all the other apps, Internet, email, > etc)....
