I'd like to suggest an additional possible problem to check. You say the mags are timed correctly. Is it possible that one of the mags was timed 180 degrees from top dead center? Stranger things have happened. Charlie, yes it's possible. I just learned the RV-9A owner had to remove th e right mag due to some sort of interference. I suspect he may not have gotten it back in correctly. We're going to start the engine tomorrow on both mags then see how it runs on just the left mag. Of course, if the engine runs good on the L. mag, then we know the problem lies with the right mag.
