Capen" Subject: RV-List: Fuel guage question I have two of Vans fuel guages installed in my 6A - flying about 90 hours or so....standard SW sendres in the tanks - they appear to read correctly. Today when I shut down and turned the master off, I noticed one of the guages went right to zero - so quickly that it looked like the needle bounced on the stop. The other guage did the normal gentle return to zero. Do I have an issue here with one of the guages? I would think they should act the same. When I first got mine I observed the same thing you did and had Van's send me a couple gauges and senders. I found two that behaved similarly, kept and installed them and sent the others back. As long as they seem to respond normally to the presence/absence of fuel when the system is energized I would leave them alone. Mine still act properly and the same after 13 yrs in the air. -GV In a message dated 02/18/11 14:52:08 Pacific Standard Time, recapen@earthlink.net writes: I have two of Vans fuel gauges installed in my 6A - flying about 90 hours or so....standard SW senders in the tanks - they appear to read correctly.
