Does anybody know or remember the source or model number of the voltage regulators that Van's supplied with the kits back in the early 2000's and probably before? They are a compact solid state unit about 2 1/2 inches square and 3/4 inch deep in a metal case. Harry Crosby RV-6 N16CX, 1375 hours

Hi Harry, I don=99t know the number but I vaguely remember my situation about 15 years ago. I have one mounted on the back side of my firewall. It=99s still there but I just cut the wires to it because my first replacement alternator came with an internal voltage regulator. That=99s how I remember it. I think I=99m on my third alternator but they only cost about $99 or less from your favorite auto parts store and they all come with an internal voltage regulator.
