    Subject: Right roll tendency
    Folks, I have a right roll tendency in my 6A that I can't seem to trim out...even solo. The ailerons are even on the ground, but I can see them out of trail (right turn) when I let go of the stick. Is this the infamous "Heavy-Wing"? Any other ideas? Thanks, Ralph Sent using myEarthLink

    Gotta be something far out on the wing, maybe wing tip. They were pretty floppy and warped back in the day.     Hi gang. It's been several years since I replied on the list, so I don't know who will get this. Regarding mysterious roll and/or yaw tendencies, always remember to consider the possibility that imperfect adjustment main gear leg fairings can produce imbalances in the aerodynamics of an RV aircraft. I'm just sayin'..... ALSO, does anyone have experience with the installation of a single or two axis autopilot in an RV-3. I am ready to buy one that has no A/P. I installed one in my RV-4 25 years and would not want to be without one now that I'm 82 yo. Has anyone installed a servo under the seat or anywhere other than in the wing/wingtip?     I will try flying without the gearleg fairings... I will check the wing for consistency as well. I have Johensen tiptanks instead of the floppy tips... I could be way off base on the core to your problem. I =99m basing my thoughts on the results of a bird strike to my gear leg fa iring after 10 hours of TT. I fixed the fairing and eyeballed the proper twist. I had a heavy wing thereafter and did the pinching to aeleron as s uggested by some. I even made a temp trim tab. Nothing worked, until the light went on in my head about the importance of proper setting of the fa irings. A little twist solved the problems. I then made some permanent ma rks on the gear leg and fairing so that I could always replace them prope rly after my conditional inspection. I hope I didn=99t create firew orks. Good luck.     Subject: VM1000 AMP/Current circuit
    Not sure if many of you are still flying with the original Lance Turk designed VM1000, but my ammeter circuit was periodically dropping out and I was unable to get advice on the old girl. I made myself a breakout cable to monitor the signals/voltages on the sensor lines during flight. The 10VDC was dropping out, so I took the DPU apart and traced the supply path to VR2 on the analog PCB. I reasoned that since this 10VDC only powered the ammeter circuit, it must be flakey. I replaced it (TI 78L10AC) and now all is well. -GV
