Goals:
- 200mph cruise at 75% power. Prototype will have IO540 parallel
valve engine.
- 2700 Max gross weight
- 1100 lb useful load
- 1600 lb empty weight
- Flaps 35 degrees max down, -3 degrees (reflex) for optimum cruise
- interior 48" wide at front seat, "RV-6 width" at back seat
- Adjustable front seat (slides). Fixed stick and rudder pedal.
- Removable back seat backs.
- "$30K - ish" for slow build kit. Van gave the impression he's hoping
for low $30K vs high $30K range.
- Traditional RV mains.
- Nose gear will include rubber donut suspension
- Top of fuselage (over cabin area) composite, probably, to
accomodate complex curves
- Standard category (3.8G) strength at 2700 lb.
- Goal is to have the RV-10 at the next OSH (only 50 weeks to go!!!)
