Anyone have any suggestions on how to get the ribs to line up with the
pre-drilled holes in the skins. I managed to get the outboard leading
edges assembled, with plenty of trouble. I worked on a fuel tank last
night.....real ugly.
Thank You

I cheated, found that the tank cradle was causing most of my problems.
Lift the tank out of the cradle slightly and start at the bottom, pushing
the rib into the bottom. It goes in and is a very nice fit. I am very
happy with the way my tanks turned out.

I just finished both tanks last night and found that if I put the cleco
in the second hole on the top side and pushed the skin around on the
bottom while pushing the rib down, I was able to get the first cleco in
on the bottom. Be careful that you don't push too hard on the rib
though. It is easy to collapse the rib. But you are right. It does
make it easier to lift the skin out of the cradle when doing this.
Here is a question though. Page 18-5 Figure #1 shows the T-1005B being
riveted to the T-1005-L. Are you going to dimple the T-1005B and then
countersink the T-1005-L? The instructions are the greatest there.
Also, there are two #19 holes on the inboard side of the top skin I
believe that are not indicated on any of the drawings. What are these
for? Do they get dimpled? I am not talking about the two #19 holes
that go into the T-1005-L.

Also, make sure you do enough fluting on the ribs. I found that in
order to get the first 3-5 holes to line up I had to quite a bit of
extensive fluting. Once I did though and once the first two clecos were
started, the rest went in very easy. If you have problems beyond the
first or second cleco, you probably didn't flute enough.
