I spoke to Great American Engines, an ECI shop, regarding the mount.
He has sold two engines to RV 10 builders and tells me that both fit
Van's mount. I believe that he said that he was aware of the
difference in the sumps (?)
He is building my engine and it should be ready in a few weeks. I
will let everyone know how it fits the mount.

Hey Chris, you can check out what I did here: http://www.kitlog.com/mykitlog/index.php?pworklog&worklogid4718#
Basically I ran it through 3/8" rubber grommets that had an ID of about 1/4".
Also, I used black irrigation poly pipe for my conduit run.

arrrrghhh. just went around to see if i could find any locally, and no joy.
after perusing a few of the websites, i think i see that the stuff from vans is
solid, and i think it's better quality than the stuff from the auto parts stores.
anyone have any ideas on where to find this stuff?
also - for those who've installed the AFS AOA what size snap bushing did you use
to run the two 1/8" lines through? i think i'm putting it in the opposite wing
as the pitot, using the same tooling holes.
thanks

Chris,
The conduit from Van's is solid. I've seen the split kind in the auto parts
stores and thought about using is myself. Chose the Van's stuff instead and
plan to make holes as necessary for AP, Pitot heat, ect. Anyone have a reason
not to use the split conduit?

You'll need an inch pound torque wrench, bench grinder, scotchbrite
wheel, #30, #40, #12, #28 drill bits, #6 and #8 screw dimpler as well as
a countersink bit for those, about ten 3" C-Clamps, Cleco clamps (1"
depth, about 10 of those. or your VS doublers won't be right.. see Tim's
site for the full details), a 3/4" unibit step drill.
That's all I can think of right now. Here's a tip: get a cordless
screwdriver and put your deburring bit in it. This speeds up deburring
and is slow enough to avoid chatter.

Another item that's needed but often forgotten until then are a few
extension bits.
I've needed the 12 inch #40 #30 and #12 in various places.

Get the Cogsdill buraway deburing tools (Type a) get both the 3/32 and
the 1/8 ", they are pricey but believe me when you start
deburrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring, you will quickly see the advantage here's the
link, you can order them dircetly from the mfg. when you do let them
know this is for Aluminum as there may be a different blade for Al vs
steel. Also order a spare replacement blade for each (I've had 2 of the
3/32 break)

Some say they cut deburring in half, I think they do better than that
If you haven't already got a pneumatic rivet squeezer,. think seriously
about that as well.

I saw the following post on Vans Airforce.
/I exchanged emails with Tom Green & Ken Krueger about this today. There
is a door latch indicator kit which has been incorporated into all RV-10
kits shipping out now and the kit has been sent to all holders of kits
already in the field.
As others have said, a checklist item to physically verify full closed
is appropriate. Even without a door latch indicator system, both RV-10
rear pins can easily be checked from the pilot's seat by reaching around
the F-1005C Bulkhead Side Channel and feeling for the end of the pin
protruding through.
In my RV-6, my before-crossing-the-runway-threshold verbal callout is:
