I'm producing door handles too!, completely interchangeable with the
Van's parts, it's also hiding the two screws in the door, I'm about to
machine the parts this week, decided to visit Sun & fun next week and
bring a sample with me, maybe we can try one at Tim's plane, if I can
meet Tim that is.
It took a very long time to get the right locking cylinders to mount in
the handles, I'm still waiting on a few sets, I only have one sample at
the moment.

I've been working on my own door handle design. They are designed to
easily integrate with the Van's stock assembly. The lock simply keeps
one of the geared racks from opening when the lock is closed. We are
machining them this week. It consists of a new handle and lock assembly
as well as a larger button that fits over the current tube. I is just
three screws from the inside of the door to keep the front lock assembly
attached and then one screw for the handle just like Van's stock
assembly.

Coss aviation may also be the company to produce the firewall forward
kit,
cowl and mount should the Innodn turbine ever get off the ground. Might
be a
topic to discuss at Sun'n Fun if you see them. Robin, I believe is the
owner.
For what it is worth.

I would be happy to help if I can.....looks like a good design. It sounds
like Scott has it under control to me though. My machine shop is very good,
but they don't like to do just a few parts. I would think they would want to
make 100 or so at a minimum. You will probably find that is the case almost
anywhere though. Those Cross door handles are pretty cool, but that does
seem expensive to me....I wonder why?
Cheers...

I'll bet that if a group of 10 to 20 RV-10 builders walked around in the buildings
together, we would get the undivided attention of the exhibitors, and their
best presentations. "Talk about buying power!"
Plus, we could sit together at at the Van's Banquet on Friday night. Whatever
get decided, I would like to be included. We should exchange cell phone numbers...mine

It takes for ever to find stuff on that site. For a HUGE selection and
very easy site to navigate, try http://www.McMaster.com they have an
amazing selection of hardware and tons of other stuff. Their web site
makes it very easy to find what you are looking for too.

I'm also going to be at S&F with my building partner Jerry, and would like to
meet up. Any chance of Thurs after the airshow at Van's tent? We'll be at the
show from Tues to Fri. Rick 40373, Hanging Engine, Rapid City -- cell 605-390-2352

The QB fuselage comes with two sets of mounting holes. Which holes are people using?
most forward or most aft?

I used forward at 6'1 or 2". Works great. My wife at 5'2" can't
use them at all that way. Figure out who's going to fly it
and how tall...that will have an impact.

5'-10" almost, I used the rear holes. Not flying yet, so I don't know
if they are ok.

I will also be there Thurs and Friday. I would suggest meeting sometime
before the end of the show. At OSH we used 11 am at Vans booth. How
about the same plan as Sun-N-Fun.
