Just checked out the MSDS sheets for the permatex blue 6B and 26B and
both say "When this product is exposed to moisture acetic acid may be
formed" I assume that this is prior to drying. But the red is
recommended by vans and the blue is sensor safe.
Both the Ultra blue and the Ultra Copper (high temp) do not have acetic
acid mentioned on their MSDS.

For those of you who are not subscribed to Kitplanes, there is a very nice
article on Stan Peternel's flying RV-9A in the May issue.

I have never been cold in the RV10 but it may be the area I live in. In
Tim's town you may need them. I have the AWI exhaust system and from
what I understand it puts out the most heat as well. Randy

Roger,
If the RV10 is anything like the RV8, I would highly recommend
installing the aileron booties. I flew my RV8 initially without them
(froze my a$$ off) and after installing them, noticed a huge
improvement! The air finds it way into the cockpit around the aileron
tubes. Maybe Tim can give us a report living up there in WI?
