Hello everyone. I really need help with dimensions on the enclosed
drawing as I am nearing my first flight. In my haste to prime my
fiberglass parts, I painted over the seatbelt hard points.
My apologies if the file takes a while. I made it as small as I could.

Unfortunately you are not going to like the answer I got. The
dimensions to the center of the hard point are not the same on the right
and left side of the canopy. I will send the marked up pdf off list, to
save bandwidth.

Has anyone installed the B&C SD8 alternator on the RV10? I would like to know if
there is any problem with the clearance with the firewall.
Thanks for any info.

I have an SD8 on the accessory pad of my -7A (IO360). It has lots of room all
around and is smaller than any vacuum pump that would live there so it is difficult
to imagine that there would be any clearance issues on an (I)O-540.
BTW, I ran the battery down once and had to get a jump start. In order to increase
the charge rate for the battery, I switched on both the SD8 and the main
alternator at the same time. Wasn't sure whether anything was at risk of popping
or overloading, but am pleased to report that both alternators happily coexisted
and pumped out more amps than either alone.
