Mine was not perfect. It has been a while and I cannot compare my
mount with yours directly. It took a little wrestling to get it to
fit. And yes....it does not sit perfectly flush, it is an acceptable
fit.

Hope this is not normal...........I can accept fiberglass being off some
but this seems too important to fudge.

Mine was fairly flush, especially after tightening. Didn't
have much gap at all. But, the holes didn't line up
perfectly. Luckily the QB fuse had slightly undersized holes, so
drilling the out kind of helped center them. Pulling on it
a bit helped too.

Dean,
I have seen this as well in the engine mount. I think that Van's has
accommodated the small variances in the way they have you drill the holes
for the mount. If memory serves me correctly they have you locate a couple
of the holes and then simply drill through the firewall for the rest using
the mount as a drill guide.

Well, just to announce that N415EC has arrived (after 3 long weeks in
customs red tape) in Florida. Also, John Mincaye Saint was born tonight at
9:54 Eastern (6lb 15oz). Only one of the above will be at Oshkosh this
year, though.

Congratulations to you all!!
Wonderful news. Whats the ratio of boys to girls now?
Just a little thought. Has anyone written your great aunt's (Rachel
Saint) story? We've been looking alot at missionary stories and you
never hear of hers , yet after seeing your DVD , hers is more
remarkable than most.
We have a homeschooling event coming up with some friends who are
Wytcliffe bibble translators in the Philipines talking about life
there.

Even more slightly off topic...
I rented "End of the Spear" tonight. Very interesting. I enjoyed it.

I see that Advanced Flight Systems now offers a EFIS/EMS combo (AF3500 & AF
3400) that is slightly larger than Dynon's D100/D120 combo. Anybody far
enough along to be considering either one of these units?

Here is my current proposed panel w/ AF3400 et al. We just finished
modifying the forward bulkhead to accept these stacks.
