Well, the list grew quite a bit in the first few days.
Looks like we'll have a nice big -10 building crowd
at OSH this year.
I am a bit surprised that there are hardly any flying
RV-10 builders on the list yet. I would have thought
that was going to be a long list, given that today's
count on Van's site is 37 Flying RV-10's.
There are also a bunch of people from last year that didn't
update their stuff, so maybe there's still a long way to
grow.
If you haven't yet sent your stuff in, even if you were
on the list last year, or even if you're not going, you
can do it here:
http://www.MyRV10.com/osh.html
I'll email you back shortly with a login for the list:
http://www.myrv10.com/osh/index.html
The current private-info-free version is at:
http://www.myrv10.com/osh2/index.html
Keep in mind that you don't have to list any phone
number if you don't want any RV-10 builders calling
you...but it seems that most people don't mind a call
or two from a -10 builder.

Chris,
Could you please re-fax the list of the things you are going to omit. Just got
the laptop working again! I am going to get wheel pants from James also. I
saw them at Lakeland. Thanks!!! Jim Gore

previously had her send me an inventory list of the kit, so I knew what was
there. As I want to leave my options open for a James cowl, I omitted the cowl
top, bottom, left/ right inlets, oil door and core, and all the spinner parts
(7 items). I also omitted the tires and tubes, as I like the leakguard tubes
and better tires. If anyone wants the actual part numbers of the cowl / spinner
parts to omit, I would be happy to fax the list, and save you and Vans the trouble.

Hey, just cause they aren't on the list doesn't mean they won't show up! I
would bet there will be quite a few.

Stealth projects, all. They're there. You just don't see them. Actually,

I surely think we'll see more than who adds their name to the list.
I would just love to see 20 of them or so. Don't know how possible
that is.
For me, I'm currently thinking of the week's timeframe. I think
I'll be there Monday-Tues, Thurs-Sat, and take Wed. off to go
get the kids and bring them only the last half of the week.
If you're going to OSH, and bringing kids who'd like to play with
other kids who are 5 & 7 (a couple of chicks), let me know.
Maybe we can work some plans to let the gang of kids hang out
in a common area at times so they don't get stuck being bored.

For the past couple of weeks I've been working on a fiberglass center
console, to accompany the panel that I bought from Aerotronics.
Originally I had planned to make my own panel, but when I found the
Aerotronics panel, it was better than what I had planned. however that
left the issue of the console. I was a bit nervous starting out, and yes
the fiberglass itches and the resin is messy, and it turns the
garage/shop into a disaster relief area, but it turned out pretty well
for a rookie. I though I'd post some links it in case others of you were
thinking of doing something similar. (Its sure a lot cheaper than
buying the Lancair parts).

Nice job Deem's!!
How many plys? And how undersized did you make the foam to allow for the layup?
Really nice.
I was following your daily progress. Can't you remove the foam with Acetone instead
of digging it out?
You should have made a plug then you could make all of us one!! ;)

I forecast 600 kits sold, 50 flying RV-10s by Oshkosh and 20 on the
ground at this year's event. I continue to stand by my forecast. As of
this PM there were 604 kits sold. But if guys like Scott Schmidt remain
missing in action under the veil of secrecy there isn't much more that I
can do. I will bring a Proseal sword to fall on before the banquet on
Thursday. Before I fall on it I may just demand a recount.
I have a dozen of the small ProSeal containers and 9 of the bigger one's
available on a first come first serve basis. That number should be four
times as large by the count of 20 RV-10s on the ground.

I made a center tunnel also but for the throttle quadrant instead of the
cables, and I do make a mold, what you see is the plug.
