I don't have that yet, but I'd certainly be adding it if I hadn't painted yet. I will probably add it in the winter season. I flew 975 miles yesterday to Albuquerque from Wisconsin and found w/o rudder trim There wee times My fuel gauges read improperly. Going to LOE, on Friday and sat. for you Vegas dudes, I'll Probably be coming there tonight. Going to VGT. Not any time for much visiting.... have the kids. I'm trying to get everything done to the canopy cover before I install it, and can't find any instructions on how to mount the front seat shoulder harness to the canopy. I have all the kits, but haven't bought seat belts yet. I can't find any instructions on how to mount the harness, nor can I find anything in the archives. Does anyone have any clues for me? Thanks Chris Hukill hating the wheelpants

    Subject: Wingtip installation with hinges
--> RV10-List message posted by: "Jesse Saint" <jesse@itecusa.org> Don't remember which issue, but have done it and really like it. The main issue is getting the crack between the wingtip and the wing as small/tight as possible. We had to put a couple of screws at the front of the wingtip, but the hinge pins hold everything else, and then the pin takes a bend and is held in by a hinge tab screwed into a nutplate in the little metal rib that goes in the back of the wingtip. It works well. The way we did it was to drill both halves of the hinge before cutting the flange off the wingtip, then used the part we cut off as a shim to hold the hinge to the wing while holding the surface of the wingtip flush with the wing skin. A metal shim can also be used. It is fairly important not to cut the flange off the wingtip before drilling the holes, in my opinion, because it can be fairly hard to get the hinge spaced right. Hope this helps. Subject: QB Floor Pans and Snap Bushing source
I finally bit the bullet and did it right (IMHO). I took my Columbus Day and removed the gear brackets, fwd floor pans (only a few rivets in each to hold them) and the covers for the control sticks that screws to the front of the seat area. Then I vacuumed, cleaned, primed the areas, laid the Super SoundProofing with Sticky Stuff, and then reinstalled everything. Total time spent was all day, 12 hours. Hardest part was getting the bolts out of the holes that go through the spar areas. There's not a whole lot of room for fingers and tools, so you just have to work at it. Backing the bolts out was VERY tedious. I took a few pics and will try to post some. Oh, another thing. If you are shorted a few snap bushings and don't want to have to pay Van's or someone else shipping on some $.07 bushings, do what I did - on the bushing itself is the name of the company, HEYCO, in Tom's River, NJ. After realizing that my local supplier didn't carry them and the minimum order was in the 1000's of parts, I went to the website, www.heyco.com <http://www.heyco.com/> . Heyco has a sampling service where you can type in the part number that you need (up to 6 I think) and tell them how many you would like to sample. Not to be greedy, I asked for 6 of two different sizes and they arrived in the mail today. I also asked for a catalog to check their other goodies.. I wonder how the QBs look in that area?? cheers, Ron 168 -----Original Message----- From: owner-rv10-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-rv10-list-server@matronics.com]On Behalf Of Chris , Susie Darcy Sent: Friday, 6 October 2006 10:52 AM To: rv10-list@matronics.com Subject: Re: RV10-List: QB Floor Pans --> RV10-List message posted by: "Chris , Susie Darcy" <VHMUM@bigpond.com> You need to remove the gear mounts and check all the bolt holes that hold them in as all the side holes on mine were F%$#@ up so I had to enlarge and put bigger bolts in. Other QB builders have reported this! Its usualy the R side only. So worth tacking out just for that. super sweet. that's the article i was lookin fer. even better, since it's in color, has clickable pics, more of them, and i can stop lookin for my RVator that grew legs and ran away. Thanks Zack! for John - i'm doing the hinge wingtips for a couple reasons. it looks way cleaner and doesn't chip paint installing and removing screws (as long as i don't accidentally bash the tips into the wings putting them on and off). in my wingtips, i'm installing the usual suspects. a Bob Archer nav antenna in one, possibly a com antenna in the other, and i've got strobes and nav lights to go in there. also, it's a good way to tinker with the duckworks HIDs that are in the last bay in both wings, and also i have an AOA in there. sounds like a lot of poop in there, and it is. i can't imagine that it'll all just work the first time out, and forever thereafter! All, Just unpacked my FWF kit. Was planning on the B&C alternator and external reg. Forgot to exclude the Vans ES 60 amp alt from the FWF kit. Backup will be the B&C 20 amp with ext reg. Any negative comments/experiences with the Vans unit?? cheers, Ron 187 - trimming windows.

--> RV10-List message posted by: "Albert Gardner" <ibspud@adelphia.net> Avery for one, probably all the tool outfits have them. I like the reamers better than the drills because the little to no deburring after using one on a pilot hole. You will also have some use for the 12" #40 and #30 drill bits. I bought a 3/16" and 1/4" reamer and use them to finish up those holes rather than the number bits called for to eliminate as much slop as possible when fitting parts.
