Debby was holding the High Ground yesterday AM and early PM. Today should be beautiful with a Kimball Pitts, a Spitfire and a polished Beech 18 on the ground. I still want to see a RV-10 Grand Champion. --> RV10-List message posted by: Tim Olson <Tim@MyRV10.com> You should have received the blast tube bracket for the rear of the alternator along with the alternator. Then you just buy some SCAT hose from Aircraft Spruce or similar, and they also sell the aluminum flanges for the SCAT too. Should be probably about $10 for everything I'd guess. I think it's 1" SCAT, but it might be smaller. The nice thing about the P seal is that you can use the flat or the bubble, depending on how much clearance you have. It seems to work well. One important place to seal is along the hinge. I was in the back seat during a flight (to OSH this year, I think) and felt back there and there was a ton of air coming in through the top of the hinge. The P seal works great there because you need something thicker to seal that gap. Jesse Saint I-TEC, Inc. I just used the corrugated hose that comes in the blast tube kit. You drill a hole the size of the smaller OD and then squeeze the tube through it so there is one =93rib=94 sticking through the hole and then seal around it so it doesn=92t come loose. I don=92t think there is any riveting involved, at least with the small stuff (about =BE=94) that I used. Jesse Saint I-TEC, Inc.
