I 'm getting ready to run the wires from the rear to the front of the
fuse and I need more holes than the two provided in the F-1004D and
F-1004C Center Section Bulkhead. Van's said they only used those two
holes and could not say if adding holes in the bulkheads would be ok.
What have other people done to get enough room to run the wires.

Look at this page. I used the same part as Deems. I believe it is used to
mount a Facet fuel pump, but is not used if injected. The bracket for the
cable I made from scrap. Picture is about half way down the page.

Kevin,
As Deems said get that in writing because Coverage for contents or Coverage C almost
always excludes vehicles and many time it specfically states aircraft and
aircraft parts in the exclusions. Tools also have coverage limits which are
in the good ole fine print just as jewelry does. Standard coverage amounts are
anywhere from $2000 to $5000 but you can purchase more. Your policy may have
provided for $150,000 under contents or Coverage C but only provides limited amounts
of that coverage for certain things (tools, jewelry, collectibles)
FWIW, understanding what's covered is much easier to understand than what is excluded
(not covered) from coverage. These items, depending on the creativeness
of the policy writer may be listed in a seperate section, called exclusions,
WAAAAAAAAYYYYYY back in the policy.
Well written policy's usually list exclusions right after they list what IS covered
and WHAT they will pay.
Which leads me to my next favorite word....PERILS!!!!! But that's another topic.
PS-Your builders risk coverage may not protect you in the event of flood waters,
only water accidently discharged from a fresh water source under pressure and
even then the ensuing mold may be an issue depending on your policy :)

I added 3 more holes but put in a doubler plate to add strength. I ran +14

Yes that is true the EAA does offer a builder risk policy from Global
Aerospace to EAA members for a premium of 1% of the value you choose, but
they also attach a components endorsement that breaks down the value you
choose. So each part of the aircraft is only covered for the percentage they
say. I am attaching a copy of the endorsement. For those of you that have
the higher priced items already, AIG offers a builders policy that will
cover the aircraft from a starting value not to an ending value, the policy
may be a little higer in premium but all the parts are covered in full not
to exceed the ending value you choose. AIG also covers the transportation
of the aircraft.

It's pretty much your choice. The only time you are really
forced to get any insurance is if you have a lien against the aircraft.
Otherwise you can self insure if you really wanted. Avemco has building
insurance for about $1 per $100 of your stated value (need receipts). I
added builders insurance a couple months back when I made the decision
to move from TX to WI. For one the project is still down there so I
have no control over anything going on where it is stored and for two,
it will be covered while in transit as I move it up here in about 3
weeks. Prior to that I didn't feel the risk was outweighed by the
expense. You are correct thought that it is unlikely your homeowners
insurance would cover it. Just like it wouldn't cover your car if a
tree fell on your garage while it's parked inside.

Adjust the arm so when knob is in all the way, valve is open. When knob is
pulled out, arm will contact the end of the cable sheath. I don't think you
need any more positive than that.

It's not required or needed until your away from your home airport and
the only parking in transient hard surface has a slight grade to it, and
you're the only occupant. ;-)

You are right. After digging in the policy I found "aircraft" listed in the
items not covered despite what the AAA (California) agent told me.

Subject: | Matronics Email List Fund Raiser - November! |
--> RV10-List message posted by: Matt Dralle <dralle@matronics.com>
Dear Listers,
Each November I hold a PBS-like fund raiser to support the continued operation
and upgrade of the List services at Matronics. It's through these sole Contributions
of List members that these Matronics Lists are possible.
You have probably noticed that there are no banner ads or pop-up windows on any of the Matronics Lists or related web sites such as the Forums site ( http://forums.matronics.com ), Wiki site ( http://wiki.matronics.com ), or other related pages such as the List Search Engine ( http://www.matornics.com/search ), List Browse ( http://www.matornics.com/listbrowse ), etc. This is because I believe in a List experience that is completely about the sport we all enjoy - namely Airplanes and not about annoying advertisments.
During the month of November I will be sending out List messages every few days
reminding everyone that the Fund Raiser is underway. Each message will generally
highlight a particular feature or benefit of the Matronics Lists or detail
a new feature or service that was added this year. I ask for your patience
and understanding during the Fund Raiser and throughout these regular messages.
The Fund Raiser is only financial support mechanism I have to pay all of the
bills associated with running these lists.
Once again, this year I've got a terrific line up of free gifts to go along with
the various Contribution levels. Most all of these gifts have been provided
by some of the vary members and vendors that you'll find on Matronics Lists and
have been either donated or provided at substantially discounted rates.
This year, these generous people include Bob Nuckolls of the AeroElectric Connection (http://www.aeroelectric.com/), Paul Besing of Aeroware Enterprises aka Kitlog Pro (http://www.kitlog.com/), Andy Gold of the Builder's Bookstore (http://www.buildersbooks.com/), and Jon Croke of HomebuiltHELP (http://www.homebuilthelp.com/).
These are extremely generous guys and I encourage you to visit their respective
web sites. Each one offers a unique and very useful aviation-related product
line. I would like publicly to thank Bob, Paul, Andy, and Jon for their generous
support of the Lists again this year!!
You can make your List Contribution using any one of three secure methods this
year including using a credit card, PayPal, or by personal check. All three methods
afford you the opportunity to select one of this year's free gifts with
a qualifying Contribution amount!!
To make your Contribution, please visit the secure site below:
https://www.matronics.com/contribution
I would like to thank everyone in advance for their generous financial AND moral
support over the years. I know it sounds a little cliche, but you guys really
do feel like family.
Thank you for your support!

If you fly into Bullhead Laughlin and go to the lower GA ramp you do....makes life
a bunch easier by yourself to keep the airplane from rolling while you get
out and chock it and tie it down...you DO tie it down right??? ;)

Are those AN3's? Do you know if John did his studies to ensure they can
withstand the forces on the pedals?

This is a great idea! Now you gonna make me take my installed rudder
pedals apart so I can do this mod.
