Subject: | Performance data for N519PJ |
With the wheel pants & leg fairings installed, I set out this am to
record some speed/performance data. Here's the results. I haven't
validated the IAS so I don't know if there's an error in the static
ports. After paint they are essentially flush with the skins, and I
understand that can be a problem.
I'm not sure how this is going to format so I'm also attaching a
spreadsheet version of the data.

Subject: | Performance data for N519PJ |
Thanks Deems!
Good stuff. Now I don't have enough time on my -10 to make an
informed statement (that never stops me) but I know my little 6A loved
higher. I flew to Cottonwood the other day at 11,500 GPS = 197.00 Kts.
Now we all find a tail wind once in a while so I don't put ANY weight
into that number but I believe that 6,500 is still less than ideal for
optimizing speed in our similarly configured planes (BPE, SJ, Portly).
Regardless solid numbers for a wonderful design & your beautiful build.
Robin

Subject: | Machined step bushing to cure wiggly step syndrome |
When I did my step installation I machined aluminum blocks that provided
a clamping structure for the step bolt to work against. I detailed
the installation on our web site. I've had enough folks ask to make
these machined bushings available, so we are adding them to our
available products at TCW Technologies.
Here's a direct link to the details, scroll to the bottom of the page
for the step bushings:
