My QB came with the rear seat crotch strap attachment installed. Does anyone use
this? Any reason not to remove it? (I keep kneeling on it, and it hurts!)

The discussions i've seen make it appear that most folks cut it off. I'm at

I kept mine. They aren't that big a deal once you start flying.

If I remember correctly, I drilled out the rivets and saved the brackets.

I'm sure SOMEONE left theirs on, but to date I don't remember ever
seeing one in person. That lug is a knee-gouge waiting to happen.
For what it's worth, even when my kids were much smaller, the 4
points left without the crotch strap are plenty to hold them in.

Subject: | Re: How do you change the VFR code on the Garmin GTX 330 |
I just wanted to let you know about a software glitch in Garmins GTX 330. Nothing
critical but in case you try to change the VFR ID if you have set before the
Aircraft ID to HEX and entered the HEX ID it won't save the newly entered VFR
code.
YOu have to set the Aircraft ID to N number then reboot and after that you can
change the VFR ID in my case to 7000. Then reboot again and set the aircraft id
to hex and enter the HEX ID.
Now all works fine and now that was the last bit in my panel that needed to be
resolved as far as I could test it in the workshop.
Now I am waiting for the new VP-200 software update to see the external starter
button work.
Attached some pics.
Cheers
Michael

Just picked up my James plenum today, and Sam showed me an RV-10 with the plenum
installed. It had no fiberglass rework on it and the fit was perfect. It looks
like all the glitches have are worked out. I will let you all know when I get
to install it. Don't have my engine yet.
By the way, did any of you get your engine delivered yet from Van's Sun n' Fun
deals?
