Subject: | Re: a lesson learned |
Yes it is a great example.
I just read my manual - it calls for 1 ounce of grease or until grease
flows out of the removed fitting, whichever occurs first. 1 ounce
equals aprox 6 pumps from hand grease gun.
Thanks for the learning experience.

Dave,
This is only the factual report. The probable cause will eventually be
issued.
It should be equally interesting to read.

The FAA left out their conclusion although it is easy to draw your own.
It is hard to make sense of this story. The man attained his pilots
license, built a rather complex airplane, which flew, and yet recklessly
ignored so many critical details. It is often said that every aviation
accident is due to a chain of events. Break the chain and prevent the
accident. This event chain seems like it would have led to tragedy
regardless. To ask "What was he thinking?" is an understatement.
Dan gave me one great tool tip, my Makita 9031 belt sander for the
canopy, doors and glass. In my opinion it is as valuable on these parts
as a pneumatic rivet sqeezer is on aluminum.
Rest in peace Dan.

He was 90 degrees to the highway, but I do agree. I think he was coming
in
long on the first field and was trying to stretch to the other side of
the
road. But that was just from looking at the picture. I always say to
myself, fly the airplane to the ground=85..don=92t let it get there any
other
way.

Subject: | Re: How do you change the VFR code on the Garmin GTX 330 |
Hi all,
I ad the same problem. After days of testing several options, I finally did it.
Dead simple: before you change from 1200 to 7000, don't forget to "DISABLE" the
VFR Key
Let me know if it works please.
Have a safe flight

The last of the painting! ...? Seems like every time we say "last of", we end
up revisiting it at least once more!
It will be great to see how they all fit together, hopefully not too much longer.

Subject: | portable entertainment |
Group,
Trying to finalize wiring runs.... I'd like the capability to hang a portable
video screen over the front seats.
I'm looking for suggestions for places to run the power and audio connection for
the rear seats? Looks like there are a couple primary options... the tunnel...
the cover over the flaps... or the sidewall.
Any recommendations for screens? Can i use a ms zune to drive video screens or
will I need a dvd player?
Thanks in advance.
