I removed the op tech equipt and put in a G500 and and here is where I put
the GMU44. The one problem that showed up on calibrating was the strobe pow
er pack and what I did was to the ground straight to the battery. That clea
red the red flag. The AHRS went on vans mount, pilot side of auto pilot ser
vor. It was made for it.

OK thanks Gary,-
I assume the G900 has the same components or close to the GMU44 and GSU73.

Require prolonged break-in
Annual condition inspections are noted in the logbook and celebrated

Most maintenance can be performed w/ Repairmans cert, however

Just when I was beginning to weigh the options of VP200 or
conventional breakers, or VP100, VP goes and drops the VP100 and comes
out with new product, the VPX, which does much of what the VP200 does,
without the display, using the EFIS of choice. I don't know if many
have discovered this yet. It appears to play with AFS and GRT, but not
Dynon Skyview at this point. Price point is very attractive, at $1800
for unit, 400 for harness. So back to studying documents and more
decisions. Of course it also muddles the EFIS decision tree.

Scott, congrats. You will love the new addition in your life. I have
had my 10 flying for almost 2 yrs and I have a 5 yr. old and 15 mo. old.
Like many will attest. The 10 fills the mission well for 4 plus lots
of kid junk. We did a Charlotte Miami this last December, and had no
problem putting cribs, bed rails, and lots of baby stuff in there.
Also the large car seats fit very well in the back.
Again enjoy the new wonder, they are allot of fun.

Congrats Scott! Way to go! All I can say is enjoy every minute. My
daughter is now 11 and that time from birth to now put the accelerator to
the floor and it stayed there (guess I should have said throttle to the
firewall). So make the best of it and enjoy every minute. I took my
daughter up for her first flight in the 6A @ 9 months old - made her a
special head set, gave her a bottle, and off we went. Exciting log book
entry to look back on. Today we do "Whoop de doos" and the rest, and she
absolutely loves flying. Incidently, didn't I see your plane out at French
Valley Airport in So Cal the other day??? Again, Congrats!

Ok, even though I still consider myself a newbee, here's my take on rudder
trim....- I attached a small piece of aluminum with a slight bend in it a
nd went and flew...- each time seeing if it were enough, and then just ad
ding a little more bend.- But the important part for me was setting the r
pm the same.- I seem to cruise-at or over 167 knots, LOP, WOT, and betw
een 2,000 and 2,100 rpm.- At those settings (especially the rpm) the ball
is almost always, dead center.- That being said, at higher rpm settings,
2,400 and above, the ball, most of the time, is not centered.

How big of a rudder trim are those flying ending up needing? I am amazed
that I still have 1/3 a ball out (to the right) and wanting to fly right
wing low with a 9" long x 1" deep wedge on the lower end of the rudder. If
I
lightly press right rudder, the ball centers, the wings level and speed
increases.

I'd like to see it attach to the lower-end Dynon's.
I'd like to have the D-6 for a backup instrumentation. But it would be
really cool to use that display for your electrical, but then have it as
a backup EFIS in case you need it.
I have no clue if there's even a port on the D-6 to do that, but the
idea is pretty cool.

Additionally, let Dynon know if the VP-200 is part of your stack as that
helps a consumer driven company prioritize what is top of the list or not.
They are currently working on the VP-200 integration BTW.

Marc's new product looks great. I expect that SkyView will interface with it
as soon as we can. I'd like to know how many people are planning to install
the VP-X. If you email me, please include how soon you plan to install it.
I'd also be interested in know which model RV, and whether you are building

Perry,
I'm afraid that will not happen.
The D6 neither I guess the other D series will have the necessary space
for further program code to interface with the VP-X the Skyview series
is the only hardware tehy have which will be capable.

Hopefully we will see most of you at Oshkosh this year.
I guess Chicago will be her first concert!
Now lets get back to talking about the really important stuff like primer, Latch

I am sure the D-6 won't offer it, because the D-6 is made specifically to be a
stand-alone EFIS, that doesn't even integrate with other Dynon units. The D100-D180
products will probably not offer that option either because of the complexity
of the interface with VP as well as the desire for Dynon to encourage people
into the SkyView system. I don't see any reason why a single small-screen
SkyView couldn't be a backup and also the VP interface, although I assume the
sharing of Engine Data would be a big part of the SkyView-VP interface, so
you would need to have the SkyView be your engine monitor, probably.

Subject: | Re: Rear headset jacks on torque tube covers |
Thanks for the replies. I heard a few potential problems with the torque
tube cover location (especially kicking the connectors) and a bunch of other
suggestions. My main concern with the armrest location is the blocking of
the door access by the headset cords. Does anyone regret putting their
jacks on the armrest for that or any other reason?

Subject: | Re: New Vertical Power Product |
Seems to me the choice is between VP-200 or VP-X with Skyview. The
rest of Dyon products are either going obsolete or for backup.
Certainly VP-X is a lot cheaper, but VP-200 does a fair amount more.
Biggest issue is getting engine monitoring to share info.

a stand-alone EFIS, that doesn't even integrate with other Dynon units. The D100-D180
products will probably not offer that option either because of the complexity
of the interface with VP as well as the desire for Dynon to encourage
people into the SkyView system. I don't see any reason why a single small-screen
SkyView couldn't be a backup and also the VP interface, although I assume the
sharing of Engine Data would be a big part of the SkyView-VP interface, so
you would need to have the SkyView be your engine monitor, probably.

Subject: | NACA Valve Controller |
Aerosport is proud to annouce its new NACA vent valve controller. This controller
was designed to allow the user to adjust the amount of airflow into the overhead
consoles that many RV-10 builders are installing. This is really nice when
tempatures get below 50 degrees and that cold air is all enclosed, and the
overhead is getting pressurized and leaking cold air into the cabin. With this
control valve you can totally shut off all air or adjust to wide open all year
long. We designed the electronic control unit to accept 12 to 24 volts and it
has user end point adjustments, throw reversal and you can reduce the speed
in which the valves open and close. The controller installs easily in the instrument
panel. It fits 2" scat tubing. We will also have a single valve controller
available as well. These valves can be used in many different applications
were valve shut offs are needed.
It is very easy to install and comes with everything you will need. Cost has not
yet been determined but should be available within 30 days. Keep
checking at http://aerosportproducts.com
