Mine runs fine above 1200 rpm or so.

My memory of the graph is that the SD-20 doesn't produce it's full 20 am
output until it's turning near max RPM's. My SD-20 Low Voltage light is
lit when the engine is at idle. I have a check list item on my run-up to
check that it extinguishes when I go through my run up.

the plane flying and running at higher RPM, it worked fine.

I am and I think it has to be 1800 RPM or better. But don't quote me....

Anyone using a B&C SD-20 alternator on the vacuum pad? I was not getting
any juice on initial engine runs, but I'm wondering if it really has to get
up to "run up" engine speeds to produce much. I did basic trouble shooting
in the hangar and didn't see anything amiss.
What are the experiences of others?

Cable length + corresponding fit would also depend upon location and use of the
stock FW holes. Any deviation from the original locations would change the required
lengths slightly. I've also heard mentioned that engine sump dimensions
vary widely.
The take away here for those yet to come is to measure for your particular setup
before ordering the FWF or throttle quadrant.
Thanks everyone that responded to this thread. Don't know what I'd do without access

Tim: My angle meter shows 8.5 degrees forward tilt, when the longeron below the
door is level.
I set my magnetometer to that tilt, and it seems to work well. :D
