These move the strut a little lower so the hinge covers don't interfere with the strut. They also have a cutout for the McMasterCarr seal. The geometry is basically the same as the stock bracket. They are made out of nylon and can withstand a lot of abuse. I have been letting my doors spring open and shutter at the extent to test the strength of the nylon. I have done this probably sixty times and so far so good. They are drilled and threaded so they can be retro-fitted or newly installed. No nutplates needed. Oh ya, they come with a short 1/4 inch bushing for installation instead of the 4 washers. Sorry for the crappy picture. -------- Cust. #40936 RV-10 SB Fuselage N801VR reserved Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=304345#304345 Attachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/photo_210.jpg ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 06:40:57 PM PST US From: Miller John Subject: RV10-List: Insurance FWIW, Just got my renewal insurance for my -10.
