Bob, This is my first post on Matronics RV-10 list but have been following the list (somewhat) for some time. I'm Vijay Pisinifrom Cedar Rapids, IA. I'll be in Osh the whole week except for one day on 7/28. I would like to camp with you all. Please let me know the details as to how much I need to pay and to who. I'll be flying a C-172 and arriving on Sunday 7/25 with a friend of mine and will leave on 7/27. I'll be back in Osh by car on 7/29 and will leave Osh on 8/1. By the way, I had my first RV-10 ride on Tim's N104CD in Aug'09 from Menominie, WI. He was very generous and explained a whole lot and let me fly his plane for some time. Just finished Emp and started on std wings (www.vijaypisini.com). Thanks. vj ----- Original Message ---- From: bcondrey <bob.condrey@baesystems.com> Sent: Wed, July 14, 2010 1:29:56 PM Subject: RV10-List: Re: 2010 OSH RV-10 HQ Camping Last bump - need to have funds in hand no later than tomorrow PM if you would like to camp with the RV-10 group. Here's the current list http://www.myrv10.com/osh/2010_Campsites.html Even if you're not camping with us, feel free to swing by - there's usually a group of us every evening. We'll probably also do at least 1 or 2 large cookouts for all RV-10 builders/enthusiasts with info to come later. If there's anybody familiar with Santa Barbara, my wife and I are planning a mid/early week visit next week. Which FBO do we use? We'll need a car to see the sights, so a rental will be necessary for the day. Last of course, "which sights?"! An old mission, a wonderful seafood lunch, a walk on the peir, etc... Lend me your ideas! Thanks! Bruce Breckenridge Happy Valley, OR 40018 wings, 7s9

KSBA is "upscale", e.g., expensive. Signature and Atlantic are the FBO's. Both charge a handling fee ($39??) as soon as you show up. Waived with a minimum gas purchase. 100LL is something like $5/gal, although 50 cents cheaper on the weekends at Signature. Parking is $15 a night, last time we were there. They can get you a rental car. My preference is for Signature. (Atlantic seems to cater to the jet crowd.) Expensive, but good service. Plan to buy gas to avoid the handling charge. I hear there is a new, third fbo, selling self serve fuel well under the price of the others. But I don't know if they offer parking or rental cars. Lots to do in Santa Barbara. Visit the UC campus if you just want to walk around a nice place. -------- Bob Turner RV-10 QB Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=305019#305019
