Bob,
How are the conditions at Osh - is it real muddy? It looks like there's a lot of
rain!

There isn't a specific target to start moving them but I assume that it's being

Yes is the short answer. It was drying out fairly well except for the low spots
but now rain all day today.

... and into the morning tomorrow. Couple more inches in the next 24 hours is
the last I heard for the area. Biggest problem is the ground is saturated which
is why we are once again under flash flood watches. The rivers and lakes here
are up to spring levels which is about 5' - 6' higher than what we normally
see this time of year.
Fortunately the forecast into next week is still holding and it looks to be a
beautiful week with low humidity, temps in the upper 70's to low 80's, light
breeze, and sun. Should dry out reasonably well once the rain stops Saturday.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again!
Michael

So does that mean you now have a large lake in your backyard? I seem to recall
that there was a pond or stream adjacent to your backyard. Hopefully there is
no threat of flooding at your place.
Counting down the hours......... Packing tonight and leaving tomorrow.

I bought a second one so I would always have a cleaned, dryed and oiled
one at the hangar for maintenance days. Did the same with brake
pads/pressure plates/back plates. Makes maintenance go much faster if
refreshed parts are put together and ready to go in.

Wolf River is behind me but na, I'm a foot above the 100 year flood stage so it
would need this kind of rain in the spring before I would have a problem. It
is a bit odd seeing it this high now though.

So does that mean you now have a large lake in your backyard? I seem to recall
that there was a pond or stream adjacent to your backyard. Hopefully there is
no threat of flooding at your place.
Counting down the hours......... Packing tonight and leaving tomorrow.

When in Tulsa in the late 70s we had a 300 and 500 year flood in a single
storm. seven inches in three hours.

Thanks guys for the P/N. For your info, I installed an Electronic
Ignition which had two wires crossed on the pinout and I got a
backfire on start up and the air filter caught on fire. Well it did
not actually flame up, but it smoldered like a coleman lantern
mantel; got my attention. Thanks Barry

Thank you Fred. The McMaster carr seals look like the way to go. We too thr
ew =0Aaway the Van's seals right from the start. Ended up buying 25 feet of
seal for =0Aabout 200.00 and glued it too the fabric covering the doors. B
ad move...that too =0Ahad to be removed as the doors would'nt quite close p
roperly. The doors are on =0Athe plane and fit pretty well...but with no se
al yet! I hope we can retro fit =0Athe seals as you did. I'm sure we will e
nd up having to remove-most of the =0Agutter also. We actually fit and mo
unted the doors about 5 months ago. But after =0Athe seal issue, decided to
move on and-hope to find a decent seal eventually. =0A=0A=0AThe build is
coming along-well otherwise. Glass is in, interior-is in (Abby did =0A
a great job by the way...FLI ), engine and exhaust are on and we have most
of =0Athe instruments wired.-Hoping to fly her to Sun-N-fun next spring..
.=0AAnd hoping the trip is'nt too noisy :)=0A=0AThank you for the links and
the info...I may call on you again if I may.=0A=0ACraig and Walt Fuller-

- The write up contained =0Ais probably the best I've seen so far.- I m
ade several mistakes before I finally =0Awent with the McMaster seals.- I
don't know where you are in the build, but =0Athrow away the Van's ones.
- I also had a set from another vendor that stuck on =0A,- they didn't
work well either.- Ended up going back and retro fitting the =0AMcMaster
seals.- Best ones yet.- Make sure you have them when you go to fit the
=0Adoor.- You basically have to remove most of the gutter and I had to dr
op my top =0Alip by about 1/4 inch to get everything to fit.- It can be d
one and the later =0Ainstallations have some of the best and slickest work

Thank you Les. I missed the posts somehow on the first go around. Great info on
the posted document. Looks like McMaster Carr seals are the way to go. Will have
to do some retro fitting but will make it work. Thanks again.
