Hi Dave,
I have a Plasma III running auto plugs on the top and a Slick mag
running aviation plugs on the bottom. The auto plugs work great and I
have had no issues. I think bottom plugs usually foul more than top
plugs. I know some operators have installed their electronic system
to run the lower plugs with success. It is just easier to mount the
electronic hardware on top of the engine I think is the reason most
use the Plasma on top.

Dave,
I now have over 1000 hours on my plasma ignition system. I tried every kind
of sparkplug and have obtained the best results with Nipon Denso GPR27U
spark plugs. Aviation spark plugs did not work well . You can get the
sparkplug adapter bushinngs from Klaus Savior at lightspeed.
I also obtained the longest service life from MSD racinng coils and
sparkplug wire. Call me @ 920 619 6968 for further details.

No issues with auto plugs, top or bottom..... fouling?-- Ain't gonna ha
ppen.- This system has so much spark, it cleans them right up.

Anyone placing any bets on Emag, now that their Osh material lowered(?) the
release date to a few months?

For those who are using the denso plugs that have the 3 prong ground, what tool
do you use to set the gaps? I can't get my standard single ground tool to fit
the 3 ground tabs. Jay Rowe #40301

Subject: | Firewall Pass Through w/Service Loop Concept |
Having recently had to re-wire and reconfigure some electrical on both side
s
of my firewall I am convinced there is a simpler (but more expensive) way t
o
access wires coming through the firewall.
My current configuration are a couple of Cannon or Amphenol connectors used
as my firewall pass through. I assume most of us have a similar
configuration. While this is not too difficult as one is building, changes
after flying can be extremely difficult due to all the =93aviation=94 crap
in
the way. The firewall side can be difficult but the upside down and
backwards nature of under panel repairs begs for a better solution. It seem
s
like a simple service loop on both sides of the panel would be a easy fix.
The service loop of 12-18=94 would allow one to remotely mount the
connector(s) to a position of better access. Or firewall mounting with a
release bracket to give better access to the wires.
My ideal setup would be either 36-48 pre-wired jumper lengths. Maybe all on
e
gauge wire or half one gauge, half smaller gauge wires. A couple of pass
through units should be enough to solve most wiring issues.
My question is=85 Does this solution already exist or are people doing
something else to solve this challenge that I don=92t know about?
