There is definitely some friction when I rotate the F-1095B bellcrank. It's not bad, and I bet the servo will be able to rotate it... but the instructions say to make sure that it rotates "freely." Has your experience been that this piece will rotate more or less free of friction? I've got only the -L sized washers in there and can't find a thinner substitute... Any advice on how to grind them down, or what to do to alleviate the friction? -------- RV-10 #40988 http://mouser.org/projects/rv-10/ KLAM Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=307776#307776 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 09:23:40 AM PST US Subject: Re: RV10-List: IO-540 Available From: Jay Wik Although I thought I was sending the previous message to Tom, The question is probably better put to the group anyway. I've had it pickled and will be hanging it on the plane very soon. I was looking at a Hartzell HC-E2YR-1BF prop (now sold) on line and realize I don't know where to go to know how to match up a prop with the engine. I suppose if I buy new I'll go with the prop Van's sells for their 10's which is a C2YR-1BF. However, do you know a reference, resource or way of knowing what used or rebuilt props would be a good match for this engine and RV-10? Do you know what the Lancair had on it where the engine came off of? thanks - Jay On Fri, May 15, 2009 at 10:42 AM, wrote: > > Guys & Gals, > > I have a beautiful IO-540 that has 100 smoh & 800 snew (new cylinders, > 9.5:1 pistons, & crankshaft). Generally we use half flaps at 70 KIAS at the numbers for landings. Breaks were gentle and easily felt in the stick. I did not install the left wing stall warning; choosing to rely on feel and the EFIS call outs. The Cheltons are set to show a yellow hat below 80 KIAS and a magenta hat below 70KIAS. ________________________________ Message 6 _____________________________________ Time: 04:24:24 PM PST US Subject: RV10-List: Elevator Trim Bellcrank Binding From: Tom Koelzer <40950@rv10.net> Had similar problems.
