I did a pretty thorough search about a year ago for Van's stronger
struts. I ended up just getting theirs.

I haven't researched the exact dimensions but noticed McMaster Carr has a few pages
of them.

Has anyone tried the 9416K15 or 4175T5 from McMaster? This seems to be
the most comparable to the original struts supplied by Vans.

You do know that they can easily be re-filled / re-pressurised. We have
a local fire extinguisher company where they simply put one in a bottle
& pressurise the bottle overnight. Pick up your re-vitalized strut the
next day. Cheap, quick & easy. Or else V expensive, slow & V enjoyable
if you bring them to New Zealand!
My RV-10 ones haven't need to be done, but we have had car struts done.
