Is it OK to go ahead onto page 19-3 and install the stall horn instead of coming back after the tanks are finished and do this. The instructions only have us modify the skin for the access cover and modify the splice ribs before we rivet the leading edges together. Sure looks like it would be a lot easier to install the stall horn now--before we rivet the leading edge all together. The only drawback I see is the little flapper sticking out the front of the skin to catch on things. Thanks, Bill ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 09:44:35 AM PST US Subject: Re: RV10-List: Stall horn From: Jesse Saint I recommend installing the stall vane once to make sure it fits & nutplates a re good, then remove it & pack away for installation on finished plane. Ver y easy to bend accidentally. Assuming you do a tank flush/leak check, you will remove the tanks from the wings at least one more time. This provides opportunity to install the stall horn sender later. I would also check to see if the sender would interfere with bucking the skin rivets or not. I fabricated the stall horn sender but have decided not to use it. Instead I'll rely on the AOA indication on the Skyview EFIS. I don't have a Stall horn or AOA in the 8A and find the inherent stall indications to be more than adequate. I do however note that the 10 may benefit from a stall horn or an AOA. Can anyone identify for me the "12 V ACTUATOR RV-10" part number ES 85615-10. Is there a fuel pump included in the QB kit? Is this it? Thanks! The fuel pump and filter assemblies are something you'll have to purchase on your own. If anything, it's funny, because seeing a company act like that makes ME at least inclined to NOT want to do any business with them at all. I used to actually like flight prep's free planner, and I bought and used their EFB for a while too, before I got Voyager. They hosed me so bad for renewal on charts that I jumped ship. But, I still thought they were OK. But after seeing how they are doing this, I think it's time to spread the word who NOT to go with for charts. Who wants another monopoly?...not me. They came to the fee by looking at the total number of hits to their web site in a month, and multiplying it by the cost of their annual subscription, or something like that. We all know that website hits aren't a real indicator. I have been to the site (runwayfinder.com) from time to time just to see an airport on a sectional quick. I had many other options for looking it up, but runwayfinder was quick. Not worth a planning subscription over though. Tim Olson - RV-10 N104CD do not archive On 12/17/2010 4:17 PM, Bobby J.
