I am trying to remove a black box containing the blower fan for my flightline a/c.
So I can send it to John strain to get more volume so it will cool in my hot
s Texas climate . I can't get it out because this brace blocks access to the
rear baggage area . What can I do to allow the access I need to remove the box?

I have his system, can you slide it back off the tray and then drop it down

Clearly many components will have to be removed to do this; ducting etc.!!
Maybe take some measurements to see if it would fit that way??

Has anyone mounted a "pull" handle on the bottom rear of the door? I find on
cold days my nice fitting door warps slightly and the rear latch will not
engage without a push from the outside. What's the best way to mount a
handle once the doors are finished?

Subject: | Re: Door pull handle |
This is how we have done it. This is just a furniture handle that you
can buy from the aviation department at Lowes or Home Depot. To mount
it, we put in two hard points with fiberglass resin and flox between the
inside and outside skins of the door, one above and one below the door
latch pin, then put a screw in from the outside into the handle inside.
It is a must for closing the doors, IMHO. It is something that, as the
pilot with a newby in the passenger seat, you can reach behind them and
hold in on the handle while they latch the door. It's very handy.

Subject: | fuel sender info into GRT EIS |
I am starting a new post because I think this topic deserves one on its own. It
was started at the end of the "infinity grips" post. The question was how to
interface (I presume standard fuel float gauges) fuel levels into the GRT EIS?
I haven't done it yet, but my plan is to bias the senders with 12 volts thru a
1,000 ohm resistor. This should give about 0.4 volts when full, and about 2.4 volts
when empty. The EIS then needs to be programmed with a "-" to invert the
sensing (low is full, high voltage is empty), and the appropriate offsets and
scale factors have to be entered. With this simple system the readout will not
be linear. If you want that you'll have to feed the probes with a constant current
source.
