I'm really not depressed, just thought it was an exceptional value. I know
I will get reasonable value out of my plane when the time comes and I
don't see offering it for sale anytime soon. I always seem to keep planes
longer than I thought I would and with the -10 what's an upgrade? Can't
really think of one at this time. N110EE just too good at all the things I
need it to do. Much like my 6A you build up a personal relationship with
your aircraft over time and it just fits. I really just wanted to point
out the unit to the list.
Placing Prozac back in the bottle now,
Robin

Robin,
You won't like this answer perhaps, but, the only time the
resale value matters is if you are selling it. And, if you
built your airplane for your own recreation and enjoyment,
then you're probably planning to keep your airplane for
a while and enjoy it. If the values dip $10,000, $20,000,
or even $50,000, it won't matter unless you end up having
to do a fire sale because you have big financial problems
or something. And if you were to just plain die, you died
a happy airplane owner and oh well, I guess your estate
ends up a little shorter.
To me, the biggest potential for loss of value AND loss
of enjoyment, is if fuel prices double or triple and
we can simply no longer afford to feed the engine.
If that happens, we'll all own boat anchors, and my plan
will be to stick a couple of widescreen monitors on
the glareshield and have the best friggin' $200,000
flight simulator you can have.
Also, part of the reason the values dropped is because so
many people got dollar signs in their eyeballs when the
RV-10 came out, and built it and then turned and sold it.
If nothing else, this will discourage people from building
to sell, further reducing the values, and keeping the
spirit of the process intact....and it may attract some
pilots to RV's in the long run too.

With Air Conditioning! That's rare.
Nice panel. the MFD is too far away in my opinion but still nice plane

For those using the 5052 tubing, did you use the .305 or .277 inside
diameter?

I used the thinner walled stuff (i.e. the .305 ID or .035 wall thickness),
which I think matches the thickness of the 3003 Van's ships. Note these are
the measurements for the 3/8" tubing, so I assume you're talking about fuel
lines.

I used .035" wall thickness on fuel and brake lines. Est what you'll need then
order 2 ea extra 6' lengths of each size. Shipping is higher on the long boxes.
I purcased ss/teflon flex brake line set from Bonaco.

I will be doing the same. Due to the massive flexing of the gear lag I
think the Flix lines will last much better than any hard line will. And the
Flex of the gear legs will never become an issue at all.
But I will do all hard lines as per plans just with 5052 lines not 3003
lines. Probably Branco flex lines on the brake systems where needed to.
Those plastic lines shoe not be allowed on the plane at all.
