John, how much ground clearance do you have?
As a point of reference, FAR 23.925 provides ground clearance requirements for
certified airplanes. At gross weight and forward CG, there should ideally be at
least 7 inches. In addition, there should still be positive ground clearance
at 1.5 g's. While this doesn't legally apply to experimentals, it provides a
good benchmark to strive for.
