Not really, you don't even need all the fingers on one hand to count the underwriters.
When I got my last renewal, there were basically three underwriters
      and Avemco.

Unlike other insurance, once an agent turns in your N# to the underwriter, they
won't provide another quote to another agent. They can, but the process is a
      PITA.

Find an agent the you trust and work with them to get the best deal from the various
underwriters. There are several that advertise and participate on VAF,
and then there is Falcon (through EAA). I've heard go comments on NationAir on
VAF, but I don't have any experience with them.

I used to go through the EAA, but switched to a local agent for the RV-10. I've
found I got better service with somebody I could actually meet face to face.
The price was the same and I got better service. I'd be more than happy to
pass along my agent's contact info, if you want one that is located in the central
      Ohio area.

      Jay,

My name is Jenny Estes and I run the Vans program here at NationAir. I would
be happy to help you. There are only 3 insurance companies that will insure
RV's during the test phase period and they will cover you from day one with
no restrictions. They will require that you get transition training in an
RV-10. We have access to all the markets. If you would like a quote
please give me a call at 877-648-8267. Regards, Jenny Estes NationAir

And me....with Jenny since 2006. Rates dropped most every year.
I pay less than Bob Turner quoted for more coverage now. Time in type helps.

      Fellow RV builders,
Just a quick note: We are back online! If you tried to
contact us by any means over the last week your were unsuccessful,
please give us a try again. We are located in Northeast Pennsylvania
where we enjoyed a freak October snow storm that dumped 10=9D of
very wet snow on us and our trees that still had considerable foliage,
the net result was extreme tree damage that brought down utility lines
in an unbelievable fashion. We, as many other businesses, were
without power, internet or phone service and next to zero cell service
as well. However, service was restored for us today and we are back
to full capacity. Thanks for your patience if tried to reach us and
      where unable.

      Best regards,

      Bob Newman, owner
      TCW Technologies, LLC.

I knew I should have added a post script to my note!

Yes, I have back-up power, our family enjoyed all the comforts we take
for granted. I even have a back-up generator for my back-up. (which
I ultimately loaned to one of my neighbors when his back-up generator
failed.) There just was no way to get internet, or phone. (also,
on an interesting note, my neighbor=99s back-up generator failed
due to ethanol in the fuel. A plastic jet piece inside the carburetor
      broke off inside the bowl)
