The problem is that my ELECTRONICS INT"l tach instructions has me wiring to both P leads both left and right. Anyone experience this? I ended up going with a "Signal Generator" from Aircraft Spruce. Screws on your existing tach drive and a simple 2 wire hookup. Solves a lot of headaches.. Readout is plus or minus 3 rpm... You have to replace the arm if you are using the throttle quadrant. If you do not, you will get about half the travel on the quadrant, and half the leverage. Yes, it will work with the stock arm, but it looks unprofessional when used in conjunction with the quadrant. >> I have not had any issues after 150 hours. >> >> -------- >> Bill >> WA0SYV >> Aviation Partners, LLC >> >> >> >> >> Read this topic online here: >> >> http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=402560#402560 > > > > > > > > > > ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 08:03:23 PM PST US Subject: RV10-List: RV-10 Shop Humor From: Phillip Perry True story - Just occurred. ====================== So I'm working on the airplane tonight and as usual, I'm doing fiberglass work. Hopefully I can get this cabin top painted in the next week or so.I just finished for the night, took a shower, and looked in the mirror. What's that? That, sir, is a wad of epoxy and filler stuck on your nipple and chest hair. I know I should have been wearing a shirt, but it's 95 degrees in Houston and I'm not going to do it. Not when I'm just dinking around with filler and patching a few voids here and there. So, I bravely grabbed the wad of epoxy and yanked.......... Then I cried.Have you ever waxed your nipple? If you haven't, you should try it! (on someone else) - Let's just get paint on this thing and call it good. I installed resistors in both circuits then into a spdt switch then to GRT EIS. Works great on either mag position. -------- Wayne G. The EIS automatically shows whatever is wired to #1 unless it's zero (as during mag check) in which case it goes to #2 (and shows "#1 RPM failed" message or something like that. -------- Bob Turner RV-10 QB Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=402663#402663 ________________________________ Message 8 _____________________________________ Time: 10:41:59 PM PST US Subject: RV10-List: Re: IO 540 C4B5 WANTED From: "bob88" Call LyCon Engines in Visalia, CA. Other than the too small holes provided on the left and occupied by the P27 battery cable plus similar on the right, it appears to me that cutting holes in some fairly beefy looking structural members may be the only way. Am I missing something? OK to cut?
