    I went with the solution that puts a sensor into one of the two mags. I forget the details.... and whether it operates when the mag is switched off. Why? Because I no longer look for a mag drop as a mag check. Rather, with a GRT EFIS and EIS I watch EGTs during the mag check. When one is switched off, all EGTs should rise. If there is a problem with a plug or a cylinder, that EGT won't rise.
