The AOPA and EAA should be looking for ( and funding) a Republican GA pilot to run against Shuster in the Pennsylvania 9th district primary. Really? I thought those organizations were politically neutral.... Let's talk about airplanes, and not about your politics. Hence their on-paper separate PACs, which accept non-deductible contributions for political purposes. This political effort does concern airplanes. The organizations need to appear to be politically neutral. They aren't. They have lobbyists talking to at least the FAA and probably Congress. Lyle is right. This topic has EVERYTHING to do with airplanes, and as pilots, we need to get involved. My main point in bringing this topic up was to get some information on why there are so few (only 19) Democrats that are supporting this Bill when it is a non partisan issue? The second point is a reminder for everyone on this list to contact their reps. I know there are Liberals on this list that take great offense to me pointing this out but suck it up buttercup. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lyle Peterson" <lyleap@centurylink.net> Sent: Tuesday, May 17, 2016 5:57:57 PM Subject: Re: RV10-List: [EAA187] Fw: PBOR II This political effort does concern airplanes.
