We replaced all the nylok nuts at the brake calipers with high temperature lock
nuts for the very reason you stated - things could get HOT sometimes.

If the nylocs on the calipers get hot enough to fail, you will have already
overheated the O rings and likely have brake fluid leaking.
While some have replaced the O-rings of standard MS designation with Viton
for heat resistance, there is a lot of mass to dissapate heat in the
calipers. Nice to add protection, but the caliper manufacturers seem to
mostly use nylock and proably have a good idea the heat stress for those
nuts.
