Subject: | MAC 3 LED Trim Indicator... |
Hello,
A fellow homebuilder friend of mine has a old-style three-LED (Red|Green|Red) MAC
Trim Position Indicator. The Green LED was burned out, and the wires were
cut off too short.
I told him I would try to replace the LED and lead wires. I got it apart without
completely destroying it. But the internal wiring and polarity of the LEDs
isn't that clear to me, nor is the actuation of it through a servo electronically.
I'm not sure how to activate three LEDs with only three wires? (Or did there
used to be four wires?)
Does anyone have a PDF schematic of the 3-LED MAC Trim Indicator that you could
email to me?
Or better yet, does anyone have a spare or unused one of these they would like
to sell me?
Thank you,
Matt Dralle

Hi Matt,
The obvious (but probably incorrect) answer is that the chassis is the 4th wire.
Is the housing metal?
