No issues to date. I did take the advice of other builders and added a separate air cooling tube. I review certain elements on every flight for and so far the voltage has been 14.3v - 14.4v. They gave me a new one as it was only 6 months old. Im flying an RV10 now with a plane power. Ive had them on other planes Ive built also with good luck. After removing the cowls, found everything normal and bus voltage on the B+ output. I had already verified that bus voltage was making it through the field switch/breaker. I investigated with Hartzell an alternator inspection document. I considered that when I put the charger on the batteries, recharge was very quick. On a last thought without removing the existing alternator I put a voltmeter on the bus directly and started the engine, I immediately saw 14V+ on the bus. Problem solved. I am ordering a new sensor from GRT. BTW Vans still sells replacement parts but it is seems more difficult to find them on the website.
