Hartzell has noted that grease zerks are sometimes seizing (and breaking) when they are removed for the hub grease process. This 2016 Service Instruction introduces a plug to replace the zerk that is removed every year (one plug per side). The plugs are stronger than the zerk, less likely to break off. https://hartzellprop.com/wp-content/uploads/HC-SL-61-354-R00-W.pdf Hartzell's 2018 price sheet lists them as $0.74 each. I've not tried to order them myself - I bought a couple from a local A&P who had ordered several. https://hartzellprop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018-Price-List-Orig.pdf -- Tim Lewis -- HEF (Manassas, VA) CFI, A&P RV-6A N47TD -- 1104 hrs - sold RV-10 N31TD -- 1200 hrs

Thanks for posting this, Tim. If you hear of a non-Hartzell source, let us know. I don't really want to call up Hartzell and order 4 plugs for $.74/each and pay shipping, but if a place like ACS started stocking them, I'd buy them when I order other parts.
