Red Lower 0-3.5 Green 3.5-28.5 Yellow 28.5-30 Red 30 That should get you started. I have an Airflow Performance FM 300. Idle can dip below 4 and Takeoff Power can hit 28.5. Hmm, that is awful high fuel flow for takeoff. I rarely see over 24.5 with Bendix RSA fuel injection., with stock compression and magnetos. Pretty good rule of thumb is 9-9.5 gph per 100 hp. 27 gph at takeoff is a number usually associated with close to 300 hp. At idle I will be under 3 gph.. Sorry, I have a Barrett Precision BPE540-X that has 9-1 pistons and cold air induction. Barrett rated it at 290 hp. A stock engine would have lower fuel flow.
