Hi
I am north of the 49th so my data wont be all that useful. That being said, there
are a few parameters that need to be included to get meaningful comparison.
In particular the insured hull values is needed as it is the biggest factor that
affects premiums along with experience on type.
In completing the survey I suggest that the following be included
Liability amount
Insured hull value
Time on type
It is the hull value that is lacking on the data posted so far.
Cheers
Les

Subject: | COVID-19 update MyRV10 |
With the recent outbreak of COVID-19, we (me) at myrv10.com have decided to implement
some extra protocols for web site visitors.
I have disinfected my server, and will only be working on it remotely to prevent
the spread of this virus.
Additionally, all website visitors are requested to disinfect their phones, tablets,
and PCs with appropriate cleaning wipes and materials.
Sorry, I couldnt resist. I must have received 20-30 of these types of emails in
the last couple days, and it seems to have gone off the deep end a little.
Both kids have college cancelled, and all sorts of other things.
Heres hoping all our travels this year actually work out. I can tell you that right
now Im on a trip and every little airport Ive stopped at is business as usual,
so its one time we can be extra thankful for our RV transportation that
we on this email list can use. No worries about the cabin air!
Take care all!
Tim

I have an airline trip scheduled 8 days from now. Don't really want to take
RV-10 into winter weather, but do I want to be away from home when
officials decide to stop airline flights?

I'm not sure what the near term futureholds for flights, but I heard
just a bit ago that passenger loads are down 40-60% so at least you
won't be crowded. Not sure where you're going, but this winter has
been real mild by me and spring is already about here, so if isn't
too extreme where you're going, the RV may not be a bad way to go.
Fuel prices are down, and I paid under $4.00 a couple times today.
Hope that holds for a few more months.

It has been interesting to see crude prices drop to slightly more than half
of a month ago, while not seeing a penny change in mogas or avgas prices so
far. I would be going to Salt Lake City, and mountain weather is both
unpredictable this time of year, and definitely still has below freezing
temps and ice possible. I'm not real fond of cold starts without pre-heat,
for the amount of wear it induces. I certainly don't care to find out how
the RV wing handles with a load of ice. I dealt with way to much icing when
I lived up north, so have sworn off of that risk.

Here in NorCal mogas has dropped noticeably in the last month. Avgas, no. OTOH
a Chevron engineer once told me that they produce a years worth of AvGas for this
area with a refinery run of one day. Since AvGas is now a specialty product,
the cost is all labor and overhead, pretty much unrelated to the price of crude.
