OTOH a Chevron engineer once told me that they produce a year=99s wor
th of AvGas for this area with a refinery run of one day. Since AvGas is now
a specialty product, the cost is all labor and overhead, pretty much unrela
ted to the price of crude.

early builders used the part T-1062 from Vans. Be advised that T-1062-1 is
not the same part. It will not work unless you re clock your locking
mechanism which requires removing the keyed area from your aircraft or
making yourself another T-1062. The difference is the clocking of the
square hole in the T-1062. The T-1062 is clocked to zero or parallel to the
latch. The T-1062-1 locking square is larger and clocked at 45 degrees from
the older version. My suggestion is make a new T-1062 from stainless with
the correct dimensions if your aircraft is an early kit. Be advised also
that the screw on the latch should be checked at annual even if you have
used loctite.

Spruce=99s new ignition switch includes door locks that have different
clocking than the older Spruce locks. New locks are compatible with the new
Van=99s part, but not with the old part.

No STC needed for amateur built aircraft, unless you are keeping the engine
in certified mode for some reason.
Biggest issues with Swift Fuels 94UL is that it is only available a few
places in the mid-west and it costs as much as 100LL.

Subject: | Control Stick Vibration |
Does anyone else notice any vibration in their control stick? I haven't
paid much attention in climb or descent, but during cruise I notice a
slight pulsation in my control stick. It seems to be a bit stronger at
higher power settings, and less at lower power. I'm assuming it is
pulsations from the prop hitting the elevator, since the prop wash
shouldn't hit the ailerons, and the rudder isn't connected to the stick.
The question is whether I should have some concern, and what might be any
corrective measure?
