For both four and six cyl engines units the inlet/outlets are 3/4 My engine IO-540 standard from Vans and the Vans supplied ally extension for breather is 1. Has anyone fitted the ASA and down sized everything to fit the 3/4 inlet/outlet ? ....... Also which plug have been used to return the oil back to the engine ? ASA show the four cyl engine and the plug just in front of the prop Governor, thats not applicable to the RV10 IO-540, but there is a plug just below the R Mag pad Thats the plug in the photo with screwdriver pointer. ............ Know theres different views on returning the oil/potential water mix back to the engine, but Im over that and Ive decided to do it. .Appreciate any feedback.(not on putting the oil back) Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=500151#500151 Attachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/16747274_9740_4c65_bbcb_f5ecc28a5f4a_126.jpeg ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 07:25:56 AM PST US From: CARL FROEHLICH Subject: Re: RV10-List: Oil Breather/Separator Yep - did that on my RV-10. I just used some short lengths of appropriate diameter tubing, then inserted the 3/4 tubing into it. On the oil return, strongly recommend not doing that. Just fashion a collection can to take the blow by oil. You dont want to put that back in your engine. I used a standard old school Brasso type can, painted to match the engine baffles and fashioned a mount from aluminum scraps and a could of Adel clamps. Between oil changes I might get ~1/2 in the can. Carl > On Jan 12, 2021, at 4:36 AM, Greg McFarlane wrote: > > > Just Got the AntiSplat Breather/Separator..............
