Subject: | RV-10 windshield replacement |
I'm considering replacing my windshield and have read that Cee Bailey requires
less trimming than Vans.
When I called Vans for a price they threw a little wrench into the works by telling
me that they sell a low UV version for $900 (vs. $675 for the regular).
Does anyone have experience with the Vans low UV version?

Tyson,
I recently replaced my windscreen with one from Cee Bailey. I ordered a
complete window set of their darkest available tint because I wanted what I
thought would be a darker shade than Vans. My windows were installed
during my build in 2007.
When I got Cee Bailey's set I could tell they were essentially the same
tint as the windows I had. My windscreen was the only one that otherwise
needed to be replaced, so I returned the other windows.
I think I posted something about my windshield experience. Short story:
remove the protective coating and inspect your Cee Bailey parts before
installation! They ended up sending me a replacement windshield.
The CB windscreen didn't need much trimming at all.
I've done this a few times now so please reach out if any questions.
