Recently new oil and filter installed on IO540 D4A5. We added about 9.5
quarts on the stick.
During the annual we opened and serviced (SB) the magnetos. We checked the
strainer and removed/replaced the quick drain. We opened and closed five
items.- These all check negative for seeps. Yet after seven days uncowled
in the hangar, oil continues to seep slowly externally down the fuel pump
drain line. I have also checked oil return lines. We are beginning to
believe we may have overfilled the oil system. Any feedback from others?

Could be a broken oil diaphragm in the fuel pump.
Check out this pump teardown from Dan's site:

The oil sump holds 12 qts in the D4A5, per Lycoming specs. The excess oil
would just come out the breather.
