subsequent to my last post, it now appears to be seeping around the seal
between the mechanical fuel pump and the accessory case. Plan to reduce
the amount of oil in the system by one quart and tighten the attached bolts
of the fuel pump to the case. If the seal has to be changed ,I found that
the exchange or overhaul LW-15473 price is $295 plus core charge of $100
from Quality Aircraft accessories in Tulsa. Since the part has run 1700
hours it is probably better to change the part when the new seal is
installed rather than do the seal only since the remaining useful life of
the part is about 300 hours.
