Van"s original RV 10 door struts (C-1016) as you all know are about worthless. An excellent, much stronger, cushioned stop, gas-spring strut to replace them is Bansbauch EasyLift (store.easylift.com), part # B0B0F50-100-247-600N (SKU: 1AF041-006. Do NOT order part # A1A1F50-100-287-600N which is readily available by part # on line. They are too short. You will also have to order Hinge Ends (B1 M8) for the B0B0F50 strut (2 per strut) to make them the right length. You will have to call Bansbauch 800-225-4496 or 321-253-1999 to get a price on the B0B0F50 strut as it is not printed automatically on their web site. Talk to Danny Jackson and he will email (send) you the price. The Ends' price is listed on the web site. As of today,$40.94 for the strut and $4.40 each End. Sure beats Van's $41.89 for C-1016 strut and $140.69 for the Heavy Duty C-1016HD strut. Carroll Verhage #41087 and #41862 N123CV and N784DC

For pics of what he's talking about, here's what I did a couple years ago: https://www.myrv10.com/N104CD/maintenance/20230111_Lift_Struts/ He said not to order this part number and that they were too short, but in my install they were perfect. All door stuff is original per plans for mine. They do much better than the original ones. Make sure you install them in the proper orientation.
