Did you apply the glue to the inside of the tank or just the outside?????? I pulled a very slight vacuum on the tank (very carefully with vacuum cleaner). I think I did it 2 or 3 times (let it sit for a day each time between. No leaks. The Super Glue dries clear and is not noticeable on the paint. You can feel a slight mound over the rivet (unless you put a real glob on the rivet). But the paint color shows through. Put just enough to cover the rivet head-one small drop. I would make sure the area it clean and no lose paint or debris around the rivet. You might want to clean it a little with a dental pick. Good luck.
