Today the flaps would not fully retract. After a bit of troubleshooting I
found they would retract if I gently lifted the trailing edge while
commanding "retract" with the switch. Everything seems tight. The problem
is repeatable. I have the Showplanes positioner but this is happening
between positions so I don't think it's related. Seems like a weak flap
motor but don't know why it works from full down up to about 1/3, then
needs an assist for the final bit. It's not super scary, so we plan to
finish our trip. Have others seen this? The motor is from 2007 with about
2500 hours so wouldn't be too put out if it failed! --Dave
