Problem solved ! I had replaced tires on the RV-12 with Aero Classic units from
Desser. One was badly out of round, and Desser replaced it at no cost. The replacement
was better, but still out of round, and no amount of balancing can
cure that.
I installed two Goodyear Flight Custom III tires after careful balancing, then
flew. On run up and lift off the tires/wheels were perfect...like silk.. no noise,
rumble, shimmy.,...nothing, just perfect operation.
I will keep one of original Aero's which did not exhibit any problem as a replacement
for the future on the nose wheel, and discard the replacement since it
can't be fixed.
